My students are an awesome group of students that would give to you what little they have. Our school is in a high poverty neighborhood. Each student in the school receives free breakfast and lunch. My students are hungry for everyday experiences, you and I might have taken for granted. They love to read and explore new thoughts and ideas. Through books, my students can be whatever they want to be They go wherever they want to go.. Open a book and they are in the Arctic Circle with a polar bear, or in the jungle where the wild things are. Through books, if only for a while they can forget their worries and be children.
