I am excited to write my first Donors Choose project to enhance a special part of our Earth Science curriculum. I am requesting a rock tumbling kit, some media to use with that kit, several kits that have assorted rocks and minerals as examples, and a couple of ultraviolet flashlights. The kits will support our study of geology and provide a fun activity for the students to "tumble" rough rocks into polished ones. There are several kits included in this project that will help us with the identification of certain rocks and minerals. The ultraviolet flashlights will be used to detect any minerals that glow because they do! Thank you for considering helping with my very first project.
