Our school is a Title I school, which was greatly affected by hurricane Sandy a few years ago. Many of our students personally suffered great losses from this storm. Like many urban schools our classroom is filled to capacity with 32 diverse learners. It is an ICT setting with about half general education students and half special education students. These diverse learners are eager to learn and share their newly acquired skills, language and creativity. The students are highly motivated to use technology to enhance their knowledge, however technology is very limited for these students both at home and in our classroom. We would like to give our students access to technology to help scaffold their learning and keep them motivated!
