The students in our program range in age from 2 1/2-6. They are in our program because they are speech and language impaired, physically impaired, autistic, developmentally delayed or emotionally impaired. Each child is uniquely different. Some have articulation issues so they are difficult to understand and some have difficulty following directions. Most of our students end up in the general education classroom with resource room support when they leave us. Our school is an at risk school with at least 90% of the students receiving free or reduced lunch. We are an at risk school, but our test scores prove that students in poverty are able to learn! The minute you walk into the building, you feel warmth and energy. The staff cares about each student like they are their own, but hold them to high standards.
