Hello!
My name is Mr. Rafael B. Tejada and together with Ms. Mary Mikhail we started a project called PorsitiveRamifications at Dickinson High School. In order to improve student moral and fight a series of negative media articles, we decided to begin showcasing and rewarding the many students that were working hard but felt like they were being ignored by the public at hand. These students would now be known as our AlphaRams.
Last year, PositiveRamifications ran three award ceremonies to reward students that achieved Honor Roll or High Honor Roll. Each ceremony awarded anywhere from 450-550 students! We received support from parents, board members, teachers and administration inside and outside of the building. Each semester, we saw a rise in the number of students that earned these honors and participated in these events. This year, we are planning to make PositiveRamifications even better.
