My students will be comparing the use of wind energy to the use of solar energy at our school. We will be working with the Public Utilities Company.
Participation in the KidWind Challenge will enhance their understanding of the these forms of renewable energy.
Students will investigate the impact of altering the size and number of the blades to assess the maximum efficiency of the windmill.
Students will record and present their data to an audience.
My students will use the data collected to develop a recommendation to the Public Utilities Company for the design and size of the wind turbines for maximum efficiency.
