My students are fabulous! They are intelligent and curious beings! They have a deep desire to learn. They ask questions, and questions and questions. Sometimes I don't have the tools to help them answer those questions on their own.
School is a safe place for all of my students. Their life experiences vary as does their socioeconomic status.
I want my students to "have it all" no matter their background. The parents of my students are amazing. They are working class citizens trying to pave a way for their child in the world.
My school in particular needs a different type of support than schools in more affluent neighborhoods. They need donors to step in and donate. Though I know the parents of my students would donate if they could, it's sometimes just not possible. Consider helping my class on their projects. I just know one of my students will cure childhood cancer one day if they are given the opportunity.
