I have a group of hungry kindergarten students. Our schools houses students from grade PreK to 6th. There are two classes per grade level. Our school was once considered a "Blue Ribbon" school. Although, we are in an urban area the school is very quaint. It has a lot of character and the staff and students are very close and caring. Our district is going through major changes that's causing us to lose a lot in terms of materials and our status as a "Blue Ribbon" school. We are a proud school and would like to remain that way. I have taught Kindergarten for 13 years and every year I spend an inordinate amount of money on my class. I feel my students deserve every penny. They come in like blank slates and it's up to me to make sure they leave with that plate full of knowledge. Knowledge that they will need in first grade and beyond. I help build their foundation. With a strong foundation they will thrive.
