We represent a diversified culture and community with our population. Majority of our students are eligible for free and reduced lunch. My students start taking the class as an elective but continue in the CTE program if they are willing to pursue a career in the food Service Industry. I also established an Work Based Learning Program where I place my kids in appropriate job sites for real world work experience. Students also experience job shadowing, industry related field trips, guest speakers. In addition they compete in culinary arts scholarship competitions to continue their education in prestigious culinary schools thorough out the state. They also perform community services, school events as well as catering to local business and homeless shelters. They work very hard!
