The pre k students are the smallest, and most vivacious, learners at our school. They come to school everyday with smiles on their faces because they truly enjoy being there. Our school is located in a high poverty area where many if not all of our students receive free/reduced lunch. For many of our students the classroom provides the only access they will have to these fun and exciting materials. While we do our best to make sure books and writing supplies go home with students some materials must stay at school. This is why I believe it is so important to have a classroom filled with hands on materials in order to maximize the students knowledge within the short amount of time in the school day.
