We are located in a low-income neighborhood that serves our military children. At least 90% of the children receive free/reduced lunches. I have high expectations for "ALL" my students, no matter where they come from. They know that they can be anything they want to be. Our motto is "Hard Work Pays Off." These kiddos are amazing. They are grateful for anything, since getting things is uncommon in their life. I told them that I was doing this project and they were so excited. Even excited when I told them that if it if funded that we will write thank-you notes to show our gratitude. Our school has risen to the unthinkable. We amaze people every year. They always say, "What are you doing to get your kids to be successful?" My response is, just teaching, they just work hard!
