My students look ambitious, eager, and determined. Everyday, I watch as several students glaze their eyes over our Dream wall, attaining the inspiration they need to keep pushing. While some people would describe our school as underachieving, impoverished, and lacking, I feel a spirit of success when I enter through the doors every morning. It doesn't matter to me that 99% my students come from homes labeled low income. Most importantly, they know that I will push them when they think they can't and then force them to explain why. It is a great privilege to stand before future doctors, lawyers, and engineers.
