Flexible seating and and a welcoming and comfortable classroom environment are important to the social and emotional needs of my students, after a year spent at home. Many students returning to school have a hard time sitting still. By providing them with alternative seating options, students can choose a spot that works for them during independent work and while charging their Chromebook. Children need to move. This flexible seating will allow them to stay focused on their work and get their wiggles out. The items I chose will help my students make positive choices. The beanbag chairs can easily be moved and the wobble cushions can be placed on the floor or on desk chairs. The extra headsets and mice are essential to students when they work online. A flexible learning environment will go a long way in helping my students grow as readers, writers and thinkers!
