My school is a general population school, however, we have a diverse population of English language learners. I would describe my school as a flower pot because it plays an important role in growing learners in a community that faces so many social and economical challenges. One of the greatest challenges our students face is displacement in temporary housing. Owing to this fact there is a high percentage of tardiness and absenteeism among my students. Despite some of these challenges students have shown resilience and an appreciation for learning.
