I serve over 400 students teaching Physical Education. I teach 10 classes per day, 14 classes total, from 1st - 5th grade for 30 minutes, mostly seeing them at least 3 days a week. Over 70% of our student population is on free or reduced lunch, most families are low income or both parents work extended hours, the majority are Hispanic, we have Chuukese, Marshallese, Russian, Pacific Islanders, and White. Parent involvement is growing rapidly bridging the gap between school and home. Parents are very helpful and are willing to provide what they can to assist in making the school a better place for teaching and learning. Students are excited about PE. They love moving, playing, and seek opportunities during our after school programs to join clubs and stay active.
