This is my first year teaching elementary technology class (Kindergarten through 4th grade). The items in this list will allow me to give the students real life access to robots. They will be able to use simple commands and remotes (K-1) and more advanced commands using block coding (2-4) as they get older. The Edison robots use also allow the use of Python for advanced students.
Most of these students have never seen, let alone driven a robot. This is a wonderful opportunity to expose them to something that is the technology of the future. I see 5 classes a day, so the extra rechargeable batteries will allow me to make sure all students are able to use them. The kits that are available allow us to add on to the robots and use them with Legos and other STEM accessories.
Thank you for investing in my students.
