The students at my school are mostly second language learners who come from low income homes. These students have worked so hard over the past few years that they've earned our school the Title One Achievement Award. What they need now are the arts. Unfortunately there is little time in the day to get to them. Therefore, I open up my classroom at lunch time for art. The students LOVE this time. They feel successful and proud of the projects they create.
