I have classroom full of energetic 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders. They are kind, well mannered and a hard working group of kids. All of my students have disabilities that vary from mild to moderate and make them eligible for Special Day Class.
Fairbanks Elementary is a school with a lot of heart. The school is located in a socially diverse, low income, high crime rate neighborhood in which many students are on free or reduced breakfast and lunch. The staff goes above and beyond often contributing personal resources for the betterment of our kids education. Many students take advantage of our after school activities which include MESA and tutoring. Our students continue to need access to more recent technology to keep up with the strides other schools have been achieving. Our students need the right tools to be successful and one of those tools is the ability to understand and use technology.
