I teach third grade math to two classes of 24 students. These students spend 1 hour and 10 minutes engaged in learning mathematics. My students enjoy learning new mathematics concepts and benefit most by having games and manipulatives available. Students remember the mathematics concept being taught and the concept has more meaning when students are allowed to work in cooperative groups and have conversations about mathematics.
