I have been a kindergarten teacher for the past 10 years. Everyday I am greeted by 20 wonderful, smiling faces. I feel so lucky to have a job that I love. My school population is very diverse and challenging, but I wouldn't have it any other way! We are a Title One school with 85% of our student population qualifying for free and reduced lunch. Many of my students do not even come with a backpack or supplies. I usually spend a significant amount of my own money buying supplies for the entire year.
