My students are a group of children that are amazing. Each one has unique talents and my job is to dig deep and find out what makes each one tick. I have high expectations for my students. I want them to know that each one can and will give 100% everyday; I expect this from each child that walks through my door. I want each one to know that when you work hard, you will achieve your goals.
I have a desire to make learning meaningful for my students. If I allow them to show me what is important to them, then I have opened up the door for them to be creative. Just think what would have happened if Michelangelo was never given the time to paint.
My job as an educator is to teach and to allow students' lights to shine.
I teach at a Title I campus, so a large population of our students are on free or reduced lunch. By no means does this define our campus. We have a group of kids that work hard to achieve their goals.
