I teach Mathematics to 70 sixth grade students in an urban school district. My classes are comprised of general education and in class support with students who have special education needs. I am trying to introduce my students to as much technology as possible so they will meet the standards of becoming 21st century learners. My students are eager to learn and I teach in a school that is supportive but the funds are not enough for extras. The basic supplies are ordered but it would be great to have an iPad for the students to borrow and take home to do their projects. Some of the students have to stay after school to complete their work and have to walk home, or if they are lucky; they get a ride home. Some parents have to work numerous jobs and they do not have the means for purchasing technology.
