Over 70% of the students are on reduced or free lunch. The school is in the middle of the "Hawaiian Home Lands" where housing is often free and the poverty level is high. Often two or three families live in the same home. The students are wonderful and full of hope and dreams.
This course could be a real opportunity for them to be able to support themselves and their families. The students become excited when they produce a quality product. I know they can succeed with the right equipment.
