When we think of high school students, we often think of young adults. As a freshman teacher, I have realized that my freshman are very much still young at heart. They are just as excited about fun and innovating activities as if they were elementary students. My students come from a low socioeconomic community and are eager to succeed in school to help them succeed in the future.
