This is a challenging time for students. parents and teachers. No one knows what the classrooms will look like in the fall. We could be in classroom, but not sharing materials. Or, we could be back to remote learning. Regardless of what happens, I have to step it up to make it in this new "normal". It is time to prepare for different way of teaching. Be it in room, or remote, we will no longer be rotating materials from child to child. Working remotely with the children in the spring was a challenge. It was especially difficult, because none of the children had materials available at home. These children need tangible objects. Computer representations are far too abstract for these little ones. With the materials identified, classes can be conducted via zoom with all children being able to fully participate. However, if we are able to meet within the classroom, there will be no sharing of materials. We will have an excellent and very safe year! Be it in class, or remotely, the education of these students will carry on. We will find a safe and secure way to educate these children regardless of the challenges we face.
