I teach 17 students in a high poverty area. Each year many of my student are just starting their first school experience. They are provided free breakfast, lunch, and snack daily. My assistant and I work hard daily to provide our students with the basic academics and social and emotional skills they need to continue on in their educational journey. Our children are excited about learning and the activities used to help them grow, however it's very difficult when materials are so limited. I love meeting the needs of my students and watching the excitement in their faces when they are successful at completing a task given.
