My students are bright and intelligent. However, they live in high poverty. My students are denied access to a functional library due to budget cuts. Almost all of my students receive free lunch everyday. My students are not exposed to books at home nor do they have the means to get a library card. I want to change that for them this year by building a classroom library that would provide them access to books that are on their interest level. Having this library would also help my students complete their Million Word Challenge. My students are resilient and if they were given the right tools and support, I believe they can achieve whatever they want in life. That is why our class motto is: "The Sky is the Limit".
