Success. It is the number one goal in my classroom. That success looks different for every child. For some, learning how to focus takes top priority.
Wobble stools will give my students the ability to move during the academic day. They will allow me to have a flexible seating arrangement where every student has an option to find what environment supports their learning. Studies show movement can stimulate the mind and increase focus; it can promote learning. Students will be able to choose how much movement their bodies need to stay productive. They will learn how to take control of their learning environment and become more self-regulated.
This project will help my students better engage in academic lessons and become more autonomous, thus promoting a successful third grade year.
