Almost 90 percent of the students at my school live in poverty. School is the one safe place many of our students get to go to. It is an escape from their harsh realities. Realities that no one should have to endure, especially not seven year old children. We often provide our students with not an education, but also with basic necessities such as food and clothing. Many of our students receive their only food at school each day.
