Our elementary school finds its home on the South shore on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. Our school has grown from just above 100 students to over 300 students over the past 7 years, with Kindergarten being the largest grade. Most students receive free or reduced lunch and come from socioeconomically disadvantaged families. We serve a diverse student body including Native Hawaiian and Micronesian students.
My Kindergarten class consists of 25, fun loving, active, inspirational students. For most of my students, this is the first academic exposure they have encountered. Their love for learning and their "go get um'" attitude are one of the many reasons why I love kindergarten so much. There is no other grade like kindergarten!
