Most of my students live in a high poverty household. Money at home is used for basic things with little left over for toys, "pretty" decorations, or books. We are a Title I school that was identified as under performing. Our students have a great deal of stress in their lives, and my goal is to provide a colorful, safe, relaxing environment where they feel safe. I want to be able to provide my students with materials and opportunities that they may not have at home.
