By having a library in class, students will feel more confident in learning science topics in a way that is more familiar to them. With these books, I am able to foster interest in science and use them in everyday lesson planning. By using lessons such as "Book Tastings" and "Read-y Graffiti" I can foster a sense of science and fun through reading.
Book tastings are a fun activity in class where students will have the opportunity to sample books they may have never thought to read before and review them.
Read-y Graffiti is another activity where students find quotes from the books they read to write on the board that represents something that spoke to them.
