Most of my students belong to a low socioeconomic area; they have challenged themselves to come to RUP, a college preparatory school, because they want to be the first in their families to go to college. They want to get out of the poverty cycle and they truly believe that education is the best way to do that. They work extremely hard in my class and for that reason we have a very good passing rate of the AP Spanish Exam. My students are proud of being bilingual and bi-cultural.
