My students have never read a graphic novel as a whole class. They marveled at the lessons learned in "Wonder" by RJ Palacios. Now she has written a graphic novel about true heroism that will further their education against bullying and learnt hat THEY are the future's bright light - and they must start to shine NOW! Please help my readers become the kind leaders of tomorrow by gaining insight into the heroes of the past. They will learn that against a historical backdrop of great cruelty, kindness still shines the brightest! I will use these graphic novels during guided reading groups in order to discuss the impact of the lessons learned in this wonderful piece of literature that will stay with them hopefully forever!
