My students are diverse, which is surprising for a rural school. They run the gambit in SES, and there is diversity in race as well. My students are full of life, and actually love school. While they may deny this at times, every new year most of the students tell me how glad they are to be back in school. They love joking and sharing the latest new app or Internet craze, but most also know when it's time to be serious and focus. They understand the importance of their education.
My school is a fringe-rural high school that is on its way to becoming an innovative school. It serves the students first, and is filled with many staff and faculty who are great at what they do. I am lucky to be here.
