The students who would benefit from these materials are students in grades 3-5 as we welcome in the new science standards. The school is a Title I school where many students come from families who are hard working but still find themselves in the lower socio-economic class. Many students come from families where English is not their first language.
With STEM Science kits such as these ("weather and climate" and "force + motion"), our students will increase their vocabulary, provide provocations for science inquiry, and provide the opportunity for cooperative work among classmates.
