I am a new teacher in an inner city school. I just started in a classroom with 21 wonderful, bright and energetic first graders. The only problem is, we are lacking many general supplies and tools in our classroom, that the students need in order to help them succeed.
The majority of my students families, struggle financially. Many of their parents work 2 or 3 jobs just to make ends meet. They do not have the financial ability to buy school supplies or books for their children. They rely primarily on the school to provide their child with these things. As a teacher, I try must best to supplement what the classroom does not have, however, that can be very hard to do sometimes. Your donations, would enable these students to have access to supplies, books and other things, that they would not normally be given the opportunity to have.
