We are located on the south shore of Long Island so our students not only lost their classrooms, but many lost their homes and some are still displaced. Due to the fact that our elementary school has been closed as a result of the storm, we are currently housed in the middle school. We are not planning to return to our elementary school any time in the near future. Our students come from hard-working families and many are English language learners.
