I work with intelligent, hard-working eight and nine year old students in a high poverty school. Over 70% of our school's population qualify for free or reduced price meals, yet, these students come to school everyday with smiles on their faces and a real desire to learn!
They see school as an opportunity and a place where they can express themselves in a safe environment. My students are the voices and future of our communities.
