The titles I have chosen pair directly with Jennifer Serravallo's Reading Strategies book. This book is utilized in my district and these books will become favorites of my students as they learn the strategies they need to become better readers. Having these books in my classroom library will allow students to revisit their favorite stories again and again as they become life long readers. All of my students look forward to making connections with the characters, learning life lessons and just enjoying a great book. I hope that through this project I can begin to build a great collection of mentor texts.
