When I moved from teaching an urban, Texas school to teaching a rural New Mexico school, I was nervous. I was an outsider here and that made me nervous. After teaching here for 4 years now, I can look back and laugh. My students are great. They work hard, rarely complain, and they participate in every sport/activity I introduce. I want to give my students the same opportunities that other students in the city might have. Every kid deserves a bright future, every kid deserves a chance.
