Students will get to dive into the many themes discussed throughout Peter Brown's book The Wild Robot. Themes such as marine biology, robotics, island ecosystems, and community will be explored in depth throughout the gripping novel.
Students will learn about marine biology, robotics, and code through readings provided by supporters of this project. Technology will be integrated as students present findings from National Geographic's Robotics book, along with other sources, using Google docs and slides. Students will investigate robotic programming as well as code using hands on learning with the Ozobot 2.0 robots provided by you the supporter. This robot requires the students to practice developing code which transfer messages that operate the robot. Students will be challenged to develop code for the robot in order to solve complex puzzles. Activities such as this will help us integrate computer science into the classroom. Thank you for your generosity which will bring science to life and inspire the next generation of programmers, marine biologist and lovers of life science!
