I want to start by saying thank you for taking the time to consider my project. My students are from a Pre-k through 12th grade rural school. They range in age from 3 to 7 years old. Most of the 3 year old children I provide services to have severe delays in communication and exhibit limited verbal ability. Some of these children have never had toys to play with and have to be taught age appropriate play and communication skills. The majority of school aged children have severe delays in articulation and need consistent homework and practice for carryover of learned speech/articulation skills. I also have children who demonstrate significant difficulty with language and being able to tell about, describe or explain things in their environments. These difficulties are very frustrating for some children and directly impact their ability to communicate effectively.
