During face-to-face instruction, it is important to keep students safe. My students have been issued individual masks with clear panels so we can see each other鈥檚 mouths while working on speech sounds, fluency, and language to engage effectively in a range of collaborative discussions (one-on-one, in groups, and teacher-led) with diverse partners on grade-level topics, texts, and issues, building on others' ideas and expressing their own clearly (SL.K.1- SL.12.1). We also need an organized way to store materials and manipulatives assigned to each student used to keep them engaged when practicing and learning skills.
