I teach Bilingual Kindergarten at a school predominantly low income, most of our students receive free lunch. The first year in school could be scary and traumatizing for some children but I believe in teacher:student relationship. Making school their second family will ease the tears of walking into a new environment by creating a positive and loving school family. My goal as a teacher is to teach the whole child by teaching them life skills that will help them be upstanding citizens and contributors to their community.
