I teach seventh grade pre-algebra. I have a very diverse student population each year, so trying to connect to relevant experiences for many is often problematic. As it is the first week of school, I am still getting to know this "batch" of kids, but in general, students like to know that what they learn will some day be helpful. These magazines will help me connect their education to their future.
