Most of the items on my list are to maintain basic supplies and organization in my classroom: sharpener, wall calendar, pencils, student folders for printed papers, hanging wall folders to find classroom resources, etc. We use interactive classroom notebooks for the entire school year! In this notebook, we review material, learn how to take notes, journal our thoughts, and let the creative juices flow. The 5 Star notebooks are the most important item in my class! Glue is absolutely necessary for the notebooks! For group activities and games: buzzers, posters, markers, colored pencils, and clear pocket folders with dry erase markers. The rolling standing desk is for my document camera so that I can effectively teach and model writing and reading skills. Christmas lights create a feeling of warmth and coziness.
