My students need scientific calculators so we can progress through the chemistry problems that involve scientific notation, dimensional analysis and pH problems involving logarithmic equations. Many students either cannot afford them or can't access them due to local health guidelines. These calculators have become essential.
The biggest boost to my students’ emotional well being is to give them materials and curriculum that can remind them of normalcy. As our essential workers sustain our society and our first responders continue to heal, our students will continue to learn. This is our moment too.
