Think of where you'd like to spend your time. Is it in a stark classroom with buzzing fluorescent lights, and distracting noises? Didn't think so. I would love to make my classroom a more inviting place where students what to be. Imagine a classroom with plants, warm lighting, and calming white noise. Warm incandescent style lighting is shown to help students with ADHD and autism focus better than with harsh fluorescent light. Plant naturally clean the air and clean air is also proven to increase student performance! White noise can take the edge off stressed students and help them focus by drowning out distracting sounds. And what better sound than running water, which is scientifically proven to calm stressed individuals.
