My students come from all different backgrounds, however the one thing they all have in common is a desire to be accepted into our family of learning and show what they know- whether it is individually with me at the teacher table, in a small group setting or whole class- each student wants to be successful and be admired by their peers during our learning instruction! My students are 6-8 years old and come into the classroom with a very wide range of beginning skills. Some know how to count to 100, some can't write a number or explain 6 is a set of six individual items. My school is growing very quickly with the majority of our students in early childhood education. We enrolled over 150 new students this past year and our class sizes are getting bigger! It seems our walls are about to burst open!
